Commix Club

“Economy is the basis of society. When the economy is stable, society develops”. Understanding the basics of economy is the key to a successful business and an economically strong nation. The students of commerce stream of our school experience the practical side of the conceptual knowledge gained through the Commix Club activities. The club, devoted to the field of commerce, aims at offering the real life experiences through a small ‘business’ venture wherein the students learn to collect the material from different sources, categorising it on the basis of need and supply, advertising the product, ledger maintaining, studying the deviations, etc. The club also organises an Inter-school fest ‘ECOMBAT’ which involves the quiz session to test the knowledge of business world, role of advertisements, share-marketingand factors responsible for its rise and fall, etc. The students learn to plan and execute activities. They also learn to record the accounts of funds collected, expenses made and later study the areas that could have resulted in better management of funds. They realise the problems faced by any entrepreneur and how they can be resolved to make the business venture flourish. In totality, through these activities, they gain deeper understanding of Accountancy, Business Studies and Economics.
